Bible Reading: Day 1

Today, I am starting up Professor Horner’s Bible Reading System.

I read this article yesterday.

Here is a link to the facebook page.

At this point, I’m thinking I’ll try to share a few verses or possibly a partial verse that stands out in each chapter.

Genesis 1:31

God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.

Romans 1:16

1 Thessalonians 1:5

for our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction

Job 1:21

He said,

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked I shall return there.
The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Psalm 1:3

He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.

Proverbs 1:7

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Joshua 1:6,9

Be strong and courageous, for you shall give this people possession of the land which I swore to their fathers to give them.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Isaiah 1:18

“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool.

Acts 1:14

These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer, along with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
