Who Is In Control?

Have you ever noticed how, when a person is looking for a house, driving slowly down a darkened street straining to see the numbers on the fronts of the homes or on the mailboxes at the end of the driveways, he automatically turns down the car radio? He does so because he instinctively knows that music or voices can be a distraction. A person cannot focus as well on the task at-hand when there is noise in the background. Noise is a distraction.

Personally I’ve been struggling with giving too much of my time to technology, so I was glad to run across the article. I’ve also been reading through Colossians lately and thought this verse might help.

Colossians 3:1-3

1Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

 2Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

 3For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
